paul: i love the way oral roberts used to put it. i was in his medical school, at oru's medical school. he said, "join the healing hands of medicine with the healing hands of prayer." and i just think that is the most beautiful combination because when people come to me, i'll operate on them, i'll do whatever i can do to help them. but i don't want them necessarily to put their faith in me.
they have to put their faith in god who's behind me, who is the healer. but i can tell you when you join those two, when there's a faith and a hope, and an optimism, and a--and even you preach a series on there's delivering faith and sustaining faith. sometimes, going through illnesses, you have to have that sustaining faith god's with you. people that join those two hands together, they do better. they recover quicker, they live longer.
you know what? i can just tell you they do better.
